Thank you so much for stopping by! It is my hope that while here you will feel like you are visiting a good friend. This blog originally began in 2012 as a way to motivate and track my weight loss goals and is ever-evolving into much more. Here you will find posts about running, surviving your twenties, and all the Lord is teaching me along the way! My prayer is that you will leave this blog encouraged and refreshed by what you have read! What matters most is not that you remember my name or the words that I write, but that you remember Who I live for and understand why. Everything else is bonus. 😉

Jesus Christ is who I live for because He’s pretty much my best friend. I mean, I can honestly say that I have had no other friend draw blood for the sake of my life. (He wins! I’m all His!) And as if death on a cross for me weren’t enough, He continuously blesses me far beyond what I could ever ask for, earn, or deserve. He is over-the-top, ridiculously good to me!

I was blessed from day 1 when I was born into a Christian home. Both of my parents love the Lord and raised my two siblings and I in church where I learned about Jesus and gave my life to Him at a very young age. I have no doubt that who I am today is the product of my parents’ constant prayer over me… And, believe me, they’ve done a lot!

Not only do I live for Jesus because He has blessed me beyond measure, I live for Him because I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count my personal life experiences that make it utterly impossible for me to deny Him. That’s it.

I’ve always had a heart for missions. Whether it be my next door neighbors, or druggies on the streets of Guatemala, I love serving and helping others by extending the grace and love to them that God has extended to me. That part of my heart is also available to you, sweet friend. If you happened upon this blog, it isn’t by chance. Jesus desires a daily intimate relationship with you right now! If that is something you do not understand or want to know more about, contact me! I would love so much to hear from you and share in-depth with you what that looks like! If you’re struggling and need prayer, I will pray for you. (Seriously, contact me!)

As Christians, its easy to talk about what gets us through the toughest seasons of life, our trials, our pains. We “hold on to hope” or “remember God’s promises.” But, for me, it was much different. I’ve been a Christian most of my life, and I’ve had my share of trials. But, in my darkest moments, I wasn’t clinging to hope or remembering God’s promises. I was ready to die. I had no hope. I saw no light. I was convinced I was damaged beyond repair, that God couldn’t use me, that I had no purpose in life. But, God was so Faithful! (Even when I was not.) And, in His Sovereignty, at a time I was ready to end my life, He rescued me and said, “I’m not done with you yet!”

So, that is who I am and why I live for Jesus. You are welcome to explore my posts and comment on both old and new. I genuinely enjoy hearing from you! You will be amazed at how much my life has changed since this blog first began! Thanks again for stopping by…

Nice meeting you!
